I finally graduated, finally took my tests and FINALLY got a job!!

My boss' name is Allison, and she bought the salon a month ago, so it is still being remodeled.

This is what you see when you walk in and turn to your right. There are 2 stations on this side and 3 on the other. The corner with the long mirror, will be turned into a a spot for the Downeast clothing.

Boutique. I get a percentage of what i sell, so that is cool!

which has the wax area, nail room, and break room. also right there to your left are 2 bathrooms

My cute station!!!! you can see station one to my left. to the left of that are 2 shampoo stations and a towel stand.

My station is number 2. And it also happens to be Allison's favorite one! She absolutely loves me, and she is a really nice lady. We spent a ton of time together on Tues, doing my prices and getting me started. She is really big on advertising for me and excited that i am working there! I am too. I think it will be a great place!

HONEYMOON PICS!!! DAY 1

Ps this is the coolest thing ever, his face really talks!!! what will they think of next? All i could think of was HOW THE HECK DO THEY DO THAT?

We went on this ride 3 times i think, I loved it, but I wasn't a good shooter, know who is? Brett Jon. He beat me everytime.

We took a tour of Mickey Mouse's house and brett needed to use a phone.

The roger rabbit used to be my favorite ride, but i guess i am old, it gave me a bit of a headache.

There wasn't a very long line, so we had to have a picture by everything!

smile your in a line for a ride!! This is one of the many times we went on pirates, I swear i've never been on it before.

I felt so bad, before this picture I had to shoo off some 10yr olds, because I wanted a picture and they were just chilling around the sword, but HELLO you have to get a picture by the sword!

We got our "Just pins!" We didn't even know they had these until we were chillin in the pool at the hotel and these ladys that we smokin and chillin from Canada told us they had some! They thought we were too young to be married, but plan on visiting Utah soon! Nice folks.

We couldn't find our room in Mesquite, and our bags weighed about a million pounds. Plus it was like 1 in the morning and we were so tired. We were miserable and cranky. We probably walked around the hotel 5 times before we found out we were looking for the wrong number!!! We found it and crashed as soon as we walked in the door. We meet the man that you can see in the background. He followed us out when we left the next morning and chatted us up, even like in the elevator and to the exit! Poor lonely creepy old man.

OK I am finally in the mood to blog.
For Lorie's Birthday celebration, Rachel and I purchased tickets for the Good Charlotte and Boys Like Girls concert! It was a blast! We had a good view considering we were all standing. Whenever some smelly teens came out from moshing, we would all squirm so they wouldn't touch us. It was pretty gross. We made it out alive even though we almost had to punch this rude guys lights out. He would jump/dance right into us, so we would push him back. We defiantly could have taken him.

I just realized I need to put the pictures back on my computer, from my camera. ugh! hold on...

Lagoon! Its what fun is.

L-dawg and I were so excited to go to Lagoon that we woke up at 7 and laid in bed for a while and couldn't go back to sleep. So We got up and had breakfast and got dressed. I braided da-lo's hair with out much fuss and then I had to re-pack our bag. She packed her swim bag with a ton of clothes! After that Brett came and off we went to Wal-mart. We purchased DL a pair of awesome High School musical sunglasses and a couple of treats. I realized at the checkout it would be a great idea to get water bottles here, but they didn't have the cool pop top lids, bummer, we had to go to the gas station anyway so we got some there. They saved our lives!

This is the LO on the way there. she would go in and out of sleep, mostly so she could hear the music since she did get to pick the music!

Those pictures are from the very first moments we were in Lagoon. Isn't she adorable.

This was so fun! Brett and I had never been on it and Its a new favorite!

Oh yes she did and she loved it!!! She is so brave! Its my favorite ride!

Brett was scared to go on this ride, He isn't too big on rides but he put on his brave hat and we all went on the rocket! Lauren laughed and laughed the whole time! She sat in the middle and held our hands.

So we had a rough time with this ride. We only did it once. I tried to explain to Lo that we sit to get on, but she wouldn't, so the guy had to pull the emergency cord. And at the end I told we had to jump off and I showed her the people in front of us, but she refused to get off, I pulled and pulled but she just said not yet, so the lady pulled the emergency cord, how embarrassing! After that she wouldn't sit by me on any rides :(

We had a fun time on the spider! It was a long line, but we lived. We were mostly in the shade so it wasn't too bad.

Lauren was in a bit of a bad mood on this ride, I think she was getting tired or hungry. By the end she was better.
Illegal picture of the show we saw! I didn't know you couldn't take pictures but I saw an old man get in trouble for videoing, it was sad, He was in a wheelchair and really enjoyed the show and just wanted to relive it!! mean ol lady!

While Brett went to go look for a bathroom, Lauren and I sat in the shade and filled up our water bottles by the kiddie place. I saw her eyeing this ride and when we were done and started to walk around to see what was there, she pulled me to the ride and said it was Lauren's turn. It was like a mini rocket and it was fun!
Last picture before my camera went dead, or so I thought! It turns out that the battery lid wasn't closed all the way! bummer, but we got a lot of fun pictures.
Lauren was so tired and had gotten sunscreen in her eye, so we ended up leaving early. I wanted to stay but Brett Jon was done too, so off we went. I thought Lauren would be worn out so I put a pillow in the car a long with a blanket in case she was wet. GENIUS!

We celebrated our Graduate at a very nice restaurant in San Pedro. The view was gorgeous and so was the day! The food was so good and the virgin margaritas kept coming! That's all you need in a party plus awesome cakes and a big ol' pile of presents!!! Congrats Courtney!!! I had tons of fun!

This proves we watch too much tv! We "ace of cakes-it up". We channelled our "inner Duff" and created this awesome cake. That is two round cakes and a square one. The diploma is made of two ho-hos. The bow and tassel are colored licorice. We bought the blue frosting from Macey's. We supported the square cake with cardboard. I want compliments people!! Oh and for the reason for this wonderful cake is Rachel's boyfriend Jason and Lorie's cousin Mandy are graduating at the end of this semister. Banners also made by Ashley!

Yesterday I got released from being Naomi chapter president. BUT! I am still the president untill school ends. It felt kinda weird being on this side of life, but I quickly got over it. Here are some pictures from that night, please note on the banner that I made the "i" in spring...and all the flowers. OH! and it was my idea to get slinkies, which no one else thought of. I'm a brilliant creative person.

Brett and I went to an IWA dance and had a blast! I was in charge of an the activity before the dance, and he was very supportive when people weren't paying attention to me during open exercises. It was very difficult for me to talk in front of 30 plus people. I was about that many shades of red!

We're Engaged!!

Brett and I got engaged on Presidents day!!! It came as a complete surprise to me. He told me we were going some where fancy for Valentine's day. He bought me a new dress for v-day as well. We had a nice day including going to a movie and even getting my nails done. We went to The Roof for dinner and it was delicious! Our favorite was the shrimp! The view was gorgeous, we had a perfect view of the temple and the sunset. The deserts were so good! So we were about to leave when Brett asked the waitress to take our picture, and she agreed but first she had to go put some dishes away, so we waited for 10 minuites! I got impatient and needed to do something with my hands, so i started to get out the cameras as they were both in my purse. Brett said not to worry about the cameras and tried to distract me, but I was already opening the case, and I saw the ring box, I immediately closed it and said "Oops! Did I just ruin something?" He put his sad sad face in his hands and said "actually yes, yes you did.." You have no idea how bad I felt! So he sat there thinking and I sat there feeling bad. Finally after several awkward moments I said he could just do it now, but he said "No I'll just do it another night." In my mind i was thinking how close I was to being engaged that night and how amazing it all was but then I ruined the finale. So he started to walk down the aisle, and I sheepily followed. Then he turned around and said "Oh! Ash I forgot my card!" I said "what?" then turned to get it out of the black check book, and the ring was inside! I turned around he was on his knee! Quick thinking huh!! And of course I said YES!!

The Time Capsule

So tonight, we had the wonderful, yet, surprising time of opening up the long awaited time capsule that Ashley sealed up in 2001. Let me tell you, it was hilarious. Ashley was a bit red from it, but it had the family laughing and really has made a funny inside joke for years to come. Just in case my family gets on this, I thought I would share one thing from a letter that was in the time capsule that was for the future husband of Ashley's. This had everyone laughing. And so here it is:
"I'm here stuck in the past, waiting for you to sweep me off my feet. I love you!!! Ashley Westover" Man this was sweet, yet, so funny. So cute, yet so....well cheesy!!! But what can you do when you're a 14 year old girl. You can only hope and dream for this day to come, and now it has.
